The points stimulated by acupuncture needles are effectively stimulated by finger pressure and laser light.  Laser acupuncture uses cold laser light instead of a needle.  Acupressure uses finger tip pressure.  Both acupressure and laser acupuncture carry zero risk of infection.

Acupuncture points alter biochemical and physiological conditions.  It is a means of helping the body help itself.

The premise of animal acupuncture is to first understand the whole animal, its genetic, environmental, emotional and physical state.  The underlying imbalance can then be identified resulting in illness, weakness and disease.

Your vet’s analysis and diagnostic tools are a window of information to help me assess the imbalance and plan a sound strategy for your pets optimum health.

Why laser?

Jersey head laser
Cold laser does not puncture or heat skin.  An adapter narrows the laser to a needle of light to focus through fur and the skin surface.  There is zero risk of bacteria being carried through fur into the bloodstream.

The computer allows depth adjustment. Laser is accurate, painless, fast and safe.  Acupuncture needles are inserted and left in for an average 15-20 minutes.  Laser acupuncture takes between 15 and 90 seconds per acupuncture point, allowing the practitioner to witness reaction of the animal to each acupuncture point.

Why acupressure?

Picture
There are less than 50 certified acupressure practitioners in the country.

Acupressure is fingertip pressure on an acupuncture point.  There is no substitute for the sensitivity of a fingertip to assess heat/cold, density/emptiness of each diagnostic acupuncture point.  The diagnostic points, by a needle acupuncturist, laser or acupressure practitioner must be felt by fingertip initially to determine the health of each of your animal's organs.

In my practice I use fingertip sensation to assess before and after treatment of each acupuncture point.
